Why not book the Meeting Room for smaller gatherings
Bookings for the main hall take priority for the facilities - such as car parking, kitchen, toilet block etc. Hence those hiring the smaller (and much lower cost) meeting room need to respect this. Meeting Room users have their own entry to the building via a door adjacent to the meeting room. They also have a single unisex toilet. Use of car parking and of the kitchen can readily be arranged from discussion with the main hall user. All this is long established and works well. .
For much of the time it works very satisfactorily for independent use of main hall and meeting room.
The Meeting Room is only hired out when such a hiring does not cause disturbance to the main hall user. As from 4 February 2015, it has been decided that no new bookings will be taken for the Meeting Room during periods of 'Afterschool activities' in the main hall (4pm - 7pm Mon - Fri).
When the hall is booked privately such as for a children's party - then the whole building is booked.ie the Meeting Room NOT separately available
