    The large (16m X 9m) high main hall serves for -
  • concert hall, lectures & films
  • exhibitions & shows
  • gatherings & dinners
  • dances and keep-fit
  • badminton & indoor bowls

There are skylights with integral blackout blinds - skylight opening and their blinds are controlled remotely from a handset.

Lighting can be varied from extensive LED panel and tube lighting (part dimmable) to coloured uplighters according to 'mood' requirements.

The area is equipped with a public address system with audio (CD)input and wireless mikes.

The area is served via a hearing loop (tune aids to 'T bar')

A stage screen and a smaller pull-down screen are available for projection.

Max capacities are 200 seated (230 by special arrangement) or 144 at tables - plus use of stage for performers.

The stage can double as a balcony provided a balcony frontage barrier is established (planters & artificial foliage are available)

normally chairs are stored around the walls with other chairs and tressle tables stored in the furniture store.

the sprung timber floor is well maintained and very suitable for dances - badminton lines are clearly marked

a 4m run of dance mirrors & barres is available on pulling back curtains
